Bridging the starsand the soil
ASTHERA turns satellite and Earth-observation data into decision-ready intelligence for flood risk, farming and climate across Africa.
Intelligence, not raw data.
Satellites already watch every flood plain and farm in Nigeria. ASTHERA reads that data, interprets it, and gives governments, institutions, businesses and communities something they can act on.

Flood and climate intelligence
Satellite, environmental and geospatial data combined to see flood and climate risk early enough to act on it.

Agricultural intelligence
Crop, vegetation and land information from orbit, to support planning decisions on the farm and above it.

Environmental intelligence
Land, water and vegetation monitored over time, so damage is seen while it can still be addressed.

We start on the ground.
Every project begins with a real problem and the person who has to solve it. The data comes second.
The problem
Start from a real challenge and the people who have to act on it.
The data
Choose the satellite, geospatial and environmental data that fits.
Analysis
Process and interpret it with scientifically sound methods.
Intelligence
Turn the result into findings a non-specialist can read.
Decision support
Deliver it in a form that supports a real decision.
Training the people who will read the data.
A country that relies on satellite intelligence needs people who can produce it. ASTHERA teaches astronomy, space science, Earth observation and data to young people, and gives them projects, mentors and challenges to build real skills on.

Chief Executive Officer

Led by a physicist
Consistency, dedication and patience might take you beyond the stars.
ASTHERA was founded by Fauziyya Auwal Muhammad, a first-class physics graduate of Kaduna State University, where she now teaches while completing a master's in astrophysics and space science education. She is also an astronaut candidate with Titans Space Industries.

What we hold to
- Scientific integrity
- Sound methods, and no reading of the data beyond what it shows.
- Responsible technology
- Weighing the social, environmental and ethical effects of what we build.
- Collaboration
- Working with experts and institutions across disciplines, not alone.
- Innovation
- Using emerging technology where it solves a real problem.
- Impact
- Prioritising work with measurable value for communities and decision-makers.
- Inclusion
- Opening doors for young people with the least access to space and technology.
- Continuous learning
- Testing, validating and refining every solution as we go.
Stay in the loop.
Project news, programmes for young people, and what we learn along the way.
Bring us a problem on the ground.
We work with government, universities, research organisations, companies, NGOs and international bodies. Tell us the challenge and we will find the data that fits it.
